Henry Concept for Valley of Kings

Tada! This is Henry! I'll admit it was sort of a slippery slope keeping him from totally becoming a Brendan Fraser and Indiana Jones look alike. I really wanted him to sort of have his own identity... which is why I decided to make him from Texas. Creating him I saw a gambler so desperate to settle his debts and escape the hot water he was in, he signed on as the pack-mule for Dr. Hazley and got fresh out of dodge by literally going to BFE. Though most of his time is spent getting bossed around by Hazley, and listening to Nubia's very mystic and ambiguous desert metaphors, he works hard around camp doing the heavy lifting, and praying this journey wasn't another gamble he was destined to lose.

He is from the Valley of Kings Video Game me, like eight other LCAD students, several Texans (who include both my bosses), and other friends from Artstation, are currently developing! Aside from Characters I am also sculpting and modeling for the environment, and hopefully some of the props!

So this was my first stab at Henry. It was pretty easy to follow the general adventure-man-dan archetype, but I wanted to make sure he was as much his own entity as he was a classic character.

I was asked to explore chin width and hair darknesses and it's generally best to push both extremes since it's easier for people to know what they don't want as opposed to what they do... which is why the Henry on the far left basically has a lego head.

This is my third take with a satchel and no back pack. Even though I really explored color in earlier sheets I really think I hit the adventurer scheme on the nose the first time.

Since it seemed I'd made henry as desired I made a final pass, rendering him out a little more and really giving him a beauty shot. I've also been keeping an eye on my detail and restricting it to a pretty straight line from belt buckle to the head.

We also have censored Henry with tank-top incase the bountiful man-tiddies were making anyone uncomfortable.

An old-timey picture of him for his Journal, I don't know anybody vain enough to have a picture of themself in their journal, but maybe it's there for "if you find this book, please return to this beef-cake".
